On-Call Horror Sprint Names
The smallest genre in the register and by some distance the most specific. Every name here is written from the pager's point of view, at the hour the pager prefers.
Four of them form an ordered sequence — Prod Called, Prod Calls Again, Prod Has Your Number, Prod Knows Where You Sleep — meant to be used across consecutive sprints, escalating quietly while nobody comments on it. Whether anyone notices by the fourth is the experiment.
- Issue when
- The sprint after an incident, or the one containing the rotation everybody has been avoiding.
- Withhold when
- The incident is still open. Timing is the entire genre; too early and it reads as a shrug.

Reading a list is not the same as being handed a verdict. The generator convenes a committee, deliberates briefly, and stamps exactly one name — and it remembers which ones you have already had, so it keeps serving fresh ones until the genre runs dry.
